AI Transparency
We use AI in our films and we tell you where. Here is exactly what is AI and what is not.
What is AI
- Narration. The voice you hear in our videos is an AI voice, not a human narrator.
- Some visuals. Some shots are AI reconstructions, for example gloved hands handling a banknote. They illustrate a scene; they are not recordings of real events.
What is real
- Archive footage, photographs and documents shown as evidence are real, with their sources listed.
- Scripts and fact-checking are done by our team. See Editorial standards.
How we label it
- AI reconstructions carry an on-screen “AI reconstruction” label.
- Videos with realistic AI-made or altered visuals are marked with YouTube’s “Altered or synthetic content” label.
What we do not do
We do not present AI images as real archive material, and we do not use AI to put words in a real person’s mouth. Facts come from sources, not from AI.
