Editorial Standards
Our rule is simple: if a number, date or quote is in a video, we can point to where it comes from.
How we check facts
- Every figure, date, name and quote is traced to a primary source: an audit, a hearing, a court record, a statute, an official publication or an archive.
- Secondary reporting is used as a lead and, where a primary source is not available, is named as such in the text.
- Claims about real people rely on court and official documents, and are worded as such (for example, “according to the indictment”).
- Where sources disagree, or a claim cannot be verified, we say so or leave it out.
Sources
Sources are listed in the description of every video. Each film page on this site carries the full numbered source list, with links, next to the transcript.
Corrections
If you think we got something wrong, email [email protected] with the video, the timestamp or the sentence in question and, if you can, a source.
We review every report. If it is a real error, we fix it: a correction is posted as a pinned comment on the video and noted on the film page here. We correct the error rather than hiding it.
Independence
We are an independent channel, not affiliated with any government agency, bank or political party. Topics and conclusions are our own editorial decisions.
Not financial advice
Our videos and this site are educational. Nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
